The sage returned and praised conflict
Discord / friction / harmony
Unheard power (of) wise phrases
The two uphold all unity
Conflict is eternal justice
And justice is nothing but...
Old strife - its glance / was never so striking
Father - of all / God’s words breed disharmony
Great king - of all / Agon drowned in [a] sea of slaves
Cry out - and bow / To the lord that you are
[The] ephesian arrogance
Rising above the warring sides
Estranged in pure contemplation
How far one can get from a whole?
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
/W.B. Yeats, The Second Coming, 1919/
Father - of all / God’s words breed disharmony
Great king - of all / Agon drowned in [a] sea of slaves
Old strife - its glance / was never so striking
Cry out - and bow / To the lord that you are
Conflict praised, sacrifice worshipped
Agon has been given a throne
the crowning words vanished
The sage returned but was unheard
Preaching words of might in vain
Agon has drowned in recurrence
